How to Add New Permission
In Synergy IDE, permissions are used to control user access to modules, screens, and operations. You can add new permissions through the Permissions Management interface. Steps:
- Open the Permissions module from the left navigation menu.
- Click on the Add New Permission or + button.
- Enter the following required fields:
- Permission Name: A unique name for internal reference (e.g.,
Document.View). - Display Name: User-facing label (e.g.,
View Document). - Category/Module: The feature or module to which the permission belongs.

- Optionally, provide a description for clarity.
- Click Save to create the permission.
Once created, this permission can be assigned to roles or individual users via role management screens.
Note: Proper naming conventions and categorization help ensure consistent permission management across the platform.
How To Use Column Selector
Click the column selector icon to toggle visibility of fields like Access, Project, or Description.
How To Edit Permission
Click the permission from the list and select the edit icon to modify its description or metadata.
How To Search Permissions
Use the search box in the upper-right to filter permission definitions by name or content.
How To Change Page Size
Use the pagination controls at the bottom-left to display 10, 20, 30, or 50 permissions per page.
